Dr. Andersen, MD earned his degree in Internal Medicine from the University of Irvine Medical School. He opened his general internal medicine practice in Lompoc in 1979. He is board certified in Internal Medicine and Addiction Medicine. Dr. Andersen has served as chief of staff at LVMC and medical director of the Comprehensive Care Center and previously the Mission Gardens Skilled Nursing Home.
He has served on the board of directors of the Santa Barbara Regional Health Authority. He was previously named Physician of the Year by the Santa Barbara County Medical Society.
An accomplished artist, his tile mural adorns LVMC’s cafeteria and his stained glass windows are in the Lompoc Valley Medical Center’s meditation room.
