Dr. Silkman provides comprehensive healthcare for people of all ages, from infants to the elderly. She earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Environmental Sciences with a minor in International Development from the University of Vermont. Prior to medical school, she earned a Master of Public Health degree from the Boston University School of Public Health. From 2007-2011, she attended the American University of the Caribbean School of Medicine in St. Maarten, Netherlands Antilles and earned her Doctor of Medicine with honors.
Dr. Silkman was a Family Medicine resident at the Eastern Maine Medical Center and was the Family Medicine resident attending physician at Eastern Maine, covering inpatient medicine and obstetrics. She also worked as a family physician at the Eastern Maine Medical Center/Hampden Family Practice, providing a full-spectrum of outpatient care. In 2016, Dr. Silkman worked as a family physician at Maine General Gardiner/Winthrop Family Practice, covering a full-spectrum of outpatient care. From September 2016 to 2017, Dr. Silkman worked in a remote rural setting in Gore, New Zealand as a family physician.
