Tonya Schultz, Ph.D, is a licensed Marriage Family Therapist who treats individuals, families and couples of all ages. She has been the operator of the Schultz Center for Individual and Family Therapy Inc. since 1982.
Tonya earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in education, counseling and psychotherapy from San Diego State College. She earned a Master of Arts degree in Counseling and Pupil Personnel Services from Chapman University and a Master of Arts degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Chapman University. She earned her Doctoral degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Pacific Western University.
Tonya has received extensive training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing, which is effective for trauma, grief, loss and personal growth. Her skills also include training in hypnosis and bio-feedback. In her practice, Tonya creates workshops for personal growth, either as a daylong experience, or an ongoing workshop of several weeks to ensure personal goals are clearly outlined and most often met.
With a background in art and writing, she also uses creative writing and log entries for individuals to express feelings and to chart their individual progress.
