Prenatal Lactation

When it comes to your baby, you can never be prepared enough. Having the support of a lactation consultant before you start breastfeeding can make the experience a lot easier.

This class is offered in a group setting, led by a professional Lactation Consultant. Expectant mothers will gain advice and practical tips for ensuring a successful nursing experience. Discussion and questions are welcome and encouraged.

Haley Hays, BSN, IBCLC

Haley graduated from Washburn University with a bachelor of science in nursing in 2007. She has spent the past 12 years working as a maternity nurse at a variety of healthcare organizations. In 2011, Haley earned her certificate as an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant. She currently coordinates the lactation program at Lompoc Valley Medical Center. She is a mom of three boys, all of whom she breastfed.

Outpatient Lactation Clinic

With a referral from a Pediatrician, Obstetrician or Primary Care Physician, mothers may schedule 30-to-90 minute appointments for private consultations. Appointments may continue as necessary.
